Beware of Phishing Messages Purportedly from Mannings Seeking to Obtain Credit Card Information
2024-10-23

Defrauding Tricks

Scammers purporting to be Mannings randomly sent phishing SMS messages to members of the public, falsely claiming that their customer points were to be expired. The recipients were lured into clicking on an embedded link which would direct them to a fraudulent website to redeem gifts at low prices. They were then misled to provide their credit card information and subsequently suffered pecuniary loss.
